A Prayer

Gods grace

"God can pour out every gift of His grace on you." 2 Cor.9,8.

Singular words, every gift of His grace, shall allways be poured out on us. Here we are seeing how great fools we are, when we so often in our hearts think: "Now, God must be tired of me, now He must surely, because of my sins, stop giving me His grace!"

- It is not so, Gods thoughts and kind heart is different and higher than our thoughts. He want give us His grace only for a while, some months or some years, but allways, as long as we are down here on earth, and need it.

Neither will He give uss His grace only those times, when we feel pious, grave and think we can devote ourselves to Him in prayer, faith and love, but also, and mostly then, when we feel ungodly, unworthy, hard and miserable and it seems like it is over with us.

Not only then, when we manage to be more faithful and obedient unto Him, but also in those times when unfaithfulness, obstinacy and disbelief is bigger, as we are seeing in our Saviours treatment towards Peter, when he denied Him.

It is not so, that He has any pleasure in our unfaithfulness, but He feel sorry for us, loves us and sincere also then. Encloses us with His grace, keeps us by the power of His grace, disciplines us, draws us once more back to Himself and forgives us all our sins.

In sorrow and in joy, in prosperity and in adversity, in times of need and affliction, when we are going through deep waters, through rivers, through need, through fire (Isai.43,2), yes also through the very dark valley of death, He will let every gift of His grace be poured out on us, so plentiful, that we allways in all things, shall have all that we need.

In all things - once again we have to shout: "O glorious words! Grace in all and for all things.
